Radomir D. Stevanovic, MD
Dr. Stevanovic founded Ithaca Primary Care in 2010. He has practiced and taught primary care medicine for more than 25 years, having treated thousands of patients in hospital, clinic, and private practice settings. He is board certified in internal medicine and is a hypertension specialist.
He holds a BS degree from New York University in English and Biology and received his medical degree from Faculté de Médecine, Université Scientifique et Médicale de Grenoble, France. He completed residency in the Combined Medicine and Pediatrics Program at New York Medical College - Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, Bronx, NY.
He then served as assistant professor of clinical medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and as attending physician in the Department of Primary Care Medicine at the Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx, NY, among other clinical and academic positions. He completed a Clinical Research Fellowship at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital Department of Endocrinology and Hypertension in Boston, MA. Dr. Stevanovic presently holds a hospital appointment at Cayuga Medical Center and holds the title of assistant professor in clinical medicine at Weil Cornell Medical School.
He is fluent in English, French, Spanish, Serbo-Croatian and has working capability in all Romance and Slavic languages, as well as German.
Debra Dibartolo, FNP-C
Debra has been a registered nurse for more than 25 years and a board certified FNP family practice for 10 years. She is also board certified in Advanced Practice Addiction Treatment. She graduated magna cum laude from SUNY Upstate University School of Nursing with a BSN in nursing and MSN in family practice with a minor in nursing education. She has an additional degree in substance use counseling.
Debra has worked in emergency and urgent care as well as family practice and addiction. She has taught nursing at Tompkins County Community College and SUNY Upstate. She has worked as a sexual assault nurse examiner for the past 20 years. She received the Friends of the Advocacy Center Award in 2018 and the distinguished Alumni Award in 2012.
Debra has seven grown daughters and seventeen grandchildren with whom she enjoys traveling.
Tenzin Sangmo, FNP-C
Tenzin is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She was born and raised in India, where she completed her BS degree in nursing at Manipal University in 2012. She has worked as a registered nurse in both India’s and New York’s health care systems. She later completed the family nurse practitioner program at SUNY-Binghamton University. Following that, Tenzin completed the post-graduate FNP residency program at Bassett Healthcare Network, NY, where she worked in primary care. She is fluent in Tibetan, English, and Hindi. She likes to spend time with her family, enjoys reading, hiking, and outdoor activities.
Yvonne Praschma, RN
Yvonne joined our practice in March of 2021, working part time as a registered nurse. She was born in southern Germany and began her career as a technical assistant at the Senckenberg Museum in Frankfurt, Germany. She later attended nursing school at Southern Maryland College earning her associate degree in nursing. Her areas of care include psychiatry, substance abuse, geriatrics, juvenile behavioral health, oncology and stem cell transplant. Yvonne enjoys spending time with her family and pets.
Amanda Bishop, LPN
Amanda is a licensed practical nurse who joined the team in 2019. Born in Pennsylvania, she grew up in the Finger Lakes region. After graduating from high school, she worked as a certified nurses aide. She attended LPN nursing school at S.C.T. BOCES in Elmira NY, graduating in 2006. She enjoys being a nurse and working in the medical field.
Behavioral Health Specialists:
Mirjana Dorozan, LMSW
Mirjana Dorozan, LMSW, is a licensed master social worker and an eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) practitioner. She graduated from Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service with a concentration in client-centered management. Mirjana earned her BA in forensic psychology at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice. In addition, she has attained teacher certifications in both Ashtanga yoga and restorative yoga and is a certified yoga therapist.
Susan Hammond, LCSW
Susan has been a licensed clinical social worker since 1993. Prior to joining our behavioral therapy team, Susan was a Social Worker Consultant, Senior Psychiatric Social Worker, and Clinical Program Director for the Seneca County Community Counseling Center, serving at their Ovid and Waterloo treatment locations for more than 23 years. She provided individual psychotherapy to adults and adolescents diagnosed with depression and anxiety disorders and referred clients to community resources to improve their well-being and quality of life. Prior to working for Seneca County, Susan was a Psychiatric Social Worker for Genesis Healthcare in Watertown, NY. She earned her MS degree in social work from Syracuse University in 1993.
Patient Services Specialist
Glenda joined the practice in the fall 2020, having returned to the Ithaca area after 30 years. She went to school locally and then attended Lake Technical College in Eustis, Florida, receiving her associates degree in health services. She has worked in many different clinical and administrative health care settings.
Darla Svoboda, MHA
Darla joined the practice in November of 2020 and assists the office manager. She received her master’s degree in health care administration from Utica College, NY. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology with minors in business and criminal justice from Limestone University, SC. Darla is from Cockeysville, MD, and enjoys hiking and spending time outside when she’s not working.
Patient Records Specialist
Lorraine was born and raised in Boston and continues to speak “Boston” although she and her husband have lived in Ithaca since 1960. They have raised two daughters as well as several Airedale Terriers. Lorraine is one of Dr. Stevanovic’s original employees, having worked here since 2010. She loves her job and has no plans to retire anytime soon.
Susan C. Penny, MBA, MS
Sue served as senior vice president for private corporate finance operations of AXA Equitable/Alliance Capital Management from 1973 through 1996, after which she then managed private equity firms. She is a Life Trustee of Syracuse University and a past Chair of the Maxwell School Advisory Board. She is a past director of Elderhostel, Inc. (a lifelong learning not-for-profit corporation located in Boston, MA) as well as six other for-profit U.S. corporations. Sue and Dr. Stevanovic have been married since 1992. Her degrees include:

Nicki has more than 20 years of experience in practice management, consulting and receivable management. She is currently a contracted medical biller/coder working with several medical practices in the Syracuse and Ithaca areas. Nicki enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with her dogs.
Barbara Worthington, BA

For more than 10 years, Barbara Worthington served as editor of Today’s Geriatric Medicine, a clinically focused magazine targeting medical professionals specializing in geriatric medicine. Maintaining relationships with geriatricians and other physicians has provided her a unique perspective on compelling medical issues and current areas of patient concern.
In 2012 she was selected by the National Press Foundation as one of 15 fellows nationwide to attend the Alzheimer’s Disease Issues forum in Washington, DC. The forum focused on the in-depth examination of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, including causes, prevention, genetic risks, research and clinical trials. In 2009 she was invited by the International Longevity Center to attend the Age Boom Academy in New York City. The seminar offered presentations on medical advancements, scientific research, and health care reforms related to the aging population, as well as health issues pervasive among older adults in America.
With more than 20 years of writing and editing experience, she maintains a keen interest in health-related issues, patient care and medical trends and innovations.
